Omnisend is also designed with a simple drag-and-drop interface, whether customizing email templates or designing new automations. And they have some great features for building engaging lead gen forms to help you capture more emails.
The downside of Omnisend being so user-friendly is that the customization options are limited. And while the platform has some built-in reporting capabilities, they aren’t the most detailed. So like we said, it’s a great choice for email marketing newbies, but if you need something with a little more power and creative freedoms, it’s “thank u, next” to Omnisend.
Retention Science
Retention Science is unique on this list of email marketing platforms for shopify stores because it actually leverages AI to help your email marketing campaigns. We know, we know. Everyone is talking about AI, but no one ever explains WTF that means. It’s not just a marketing gimmick though.
Basically Retention Science has crazy smart data analytics that can analyze your databases’ behavior and predict their next move. This also means it can recognize patterns, predict buying intent and create more effective automations. Pretty cool.

Plus, for the small business owners out there hustlin’ on Shopify, Klaviyo is fairly intuitive and easy to use. When you’ve trialed as many digital marketing platforms as we have, you know not every software company out there is investing in user experience like they should be.
